Gerda Le Roux is the proud owner and fearless leader of the amazing Talk2me team. A true innovator, friend, mentor, and passionate entrepreneur, Gerda is someone who never settles for ordinary. She’s known for consistently coming up with fresh ideas and better plans, continually raising the standard of what service and connection should look like.

Gerda stepped into the cellular industry in 2007 – and never looked back. From day one, she grabbed the opportunity to make a real difference with both hands, and today, she continues to lead with heart, creativity, and purpose.

Her philosophy is simple: “You deserve the best!” For Gerda, clients aren’t just customers – they’re friends. And at Talk2me, those friendships are the foundation of everything.

Outside the business, Gerda is full of life. A former provincial hockey player and lover of all things outdoors, she enjoys summer, sunshine, braais, gardening, swimming, and spending time with her impressive succulent and wannabe bonsai collection. She’s also a passionate home cook who brings the same creativity to the kitchen as she does to her business.

Sias Booyens

Sias Booyens grew up in Welkom and has been in the telecom and tech space for over 18 years, most of that time with Vodacom. He worked his way up through the ranks and eventually became a Partner Account Manager before joining the Talk2me team. Today, he’s our go-to guy for all things digital, mobile, apps, and AI.

Sias has a real passion for helping businesses grow by making technology simple and useful. He loves working directly with business owners to find the right solutions that actually make a difference.

When he’s not diving into the latest tech trends, you’ll find Sias either making music, playing a round of golf, or relaxing at home with his wife and their two dogs, Billy and Lizzy. Music is a big part of their life—and a great way for Sias to unwind.

Johnny Olivier

Jonathan Olivier, better known as Johnny, was born in 1999 in Bloemfontein and matriculated from JF. He joined the Talk2me Team straight out of school and has been with the company ever since. Starting from the ground up, Johnny worked his way through the ranks with determination and grit, ultimately earning his position as Sales Manager.

Known for his signature red hair and relentless work ethic, Johnny is a perfectionist at heart who thrives on structure and sticking to a plan. He’s passionate about delivering quality, finishing what he starts, and constantly learning new things to grow both personally and professionally.

Johnny is happily married and enjoys life with his two beloved fur babies, Fergus and Luna. A big fan of old-school rock, his favorite band is Black Sabbath. When he’s not at work, you’ll likely find him camping or fishing with friends. His guilty pleasure is Jägermeister.

For Johnny, the day doesn’t end until the job is done. He’s committed to excellence and always goes the extra mile, because in his words: “You deserve the best, and we are just better!”

Annazel Lategan

Annazel Lategan is a dedicated Administrator at Vodacom Talk2Me, where she’s known for her warm approach, exceptional customer support, and commitment to personalized communication solutions. She joined the Talk2Me team in 2023 and has quickly become a valuable part of the company’s success.

Originally from a farm in the Free State, Annazel has deep roots in agriculture. Her background includes showmanship with cattle and a qualification as a cattle breed inspector—an experience that taught her endurance, patience, and the value of hard work. These qualities now shine through in everything she does.

Annazel is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys hunting, reading, and spending quality time with the people who matter most to her. While she doesn’t follow sports closely, she admits rugby can stir up her emotions, especially when the blue team is involved, as she supports the team from the wrong side of the Vaal River!

Her favourite song is "Nobody" by Casting Crowns, a reflection of her humble spirit and deep values. She strives each day to be better than the day before, finding purpose in helping others and achieving the goals she sets for herself.

Whether in the office or out in nature, Annazel brings heart, drive, and a touch of Free State grit to everything she does.

Brabant van Onselen

Brabant van Onselen is a passionate, people-focused individual with a heart for service and a relentless drive for excellence. Whether on the rugby field, in the gym, or spending quality time with loved ones, Brabant brings energy, integrity, and deep faith into every area of his life.

A former Free State flyhalf, Brabant understands the value of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. He believes that a strong body fuels a strong mind — and that a healthy body houses a healthy soul. His love for fitness goes beyond physical strength; it's a reflection of his commitment to living with purpose and intentionality.

Married to his best friend, Brabant treasures family time and believes in building meaningful connections grounded in love, respect, and faith. With God at the center of everything he does, he strives to lead by example — lifting others up, pursuing growth, and living a life of compassion and character.

Van Zyl Hetzel

Van Zyl Hetzel, born in 2006 in Bloemfontein, is the youngest member of the Talk2Me team—but don’t let his age fool you. Since joining the team straight out of Sentraal High School in 2024, Van Zyl has brought unmatched energy, curiosity, and a passion for people and technology to his role as Sales Executive.

A dedicated rugby player, Van Zyl was the vice-captain of Sentraal’s 1st team as a flanker and continues to play for the Ou Tralie Rugby Club. His fierce loyalty to the sport—and his “colourblind” team preferences—often lead to lively debates around the office, but it’s all part of his infectious spirit and camaraderie. The question remains, “Why blue and why Bulls”?

Known for being the one to ask the questions others are too shy to voice, Van Zyl is always eager to learn, improve, and challenge the norm. His relentless drive and refusal to give up make him a perfect fit for Talk2Me’s commitment to excellence—“the same, just better.”

Young, motivated, and always ready to go the extra mile, Van Zyl is already proving that outstanding service knows no age limit.

Cudo

Meet Cudo, our delightful miniature Schnauzer and the heart of Talk2Me! Her name—“čudo” in some Slavic languages—means wonder, miracle, or marvel, and she truly lives up to it. At just 10 months old, Cudo has already become the store’s official mascot and undeniable lifewire.

With her joyful personality and boundless friendliness, Cudo is always the first to greet clients with tail wags and happy energy. She's also the proud namesake of Cudo, our custom-built AI agent designed to assist clients with smart, friendly service, just like her.

Cudo loves being part of the action, especially if it means a little extra attention or a well-earned belly rub. She’s the only “staff member” allowed to run freely through the store and occasionally grace a client’s lap with her presence (which nobody ever minds!).

A beautiful example of kindness, connection, and unconditional cheer, Cudo reminds us daily that a little joy goes a long way—both in tech and in life. She is the same – just better!

Spokkels

Meet Spokkels, the real boss at Talk2Me. This pint-sized Yorkshire Terrier might be small, but she runs the show with a wagging tail and a heart full of love. Officially titled “The Boss,” Spokkels has a unique claim to fame—she just might be the only Yorkie in South Africa who owns a cellular store!

Rescued 8 years ago, Spokkels still walks around with the wonder of a dog who can’t believe her luck. Whether she’s greeting clients at the door, attending the morning meeting with her coffee (yes, she insists on it), or finding the nearest lap or desk to settle on, Spokkels brings joy, warmth, and a little chaos wherever she goes.

She believes the entire team belongs to her—and honestly, we don’t argue. From playing with her ball to quietly supervising the staff at work, she knows how to keep spirits high. Even with a knee replacement, Spokkels hasn’t slowed down; her spark is stronger than ever.

She may not speak, but if she could, we know she'd say:
"I luv you – DO you love me?"
